Can I place an order through the website?

Not yet - hopefully in the future! All orders must be placed through the shop. Please call 843-579-2891 Mon-Sat, 10am-5pm.

Can I stop by and buy a cake from the case?

No. We do not generally have cakes available for purchase in the store. Occasionally we do and, when we do, we post the availability on IG and FB, first come first served.

Why do you need my name and telephone number when I place an order?

Sometimes things go wrong or you forget to come by and we need to get in touch with you. Wouldn’t you like to receive a reminder before we close that you haven’t picked up your preorder?

Can I call and have you hold items for me until I get there?

If you would like us to hold your favorite sweets, call the store to place and pay for the order and then come by anytime before 5 pm to pick them up. We will have them boxed and ready for you when you get here. We do not hold any items without payment.

I called the shop and you told me you have the flavor I want, but when I got there you didn’t have it. Why did the person tell me that?

Sometimes the items go quickly. When you called we had the item, but by the time you got here someone else had purchased it. The best way to ensure you get what you want is to prepay for the order and then come by anytime before 5 pm to pick it up. We will have it boxed and ready for you when you get here. We do not hold any items without payment.

I need a cake for tomorrow. Do you have anything available?

Our cakes are a two-day process to bake and ice so all orders must be received AT LEAST 48 hours in advance, as long as we have availability. We often sell out of preorder cake spots a week or two in advance. Feel free to give us a call and see if we have anything in the shop - sometimes we accidentally bake an extra cake, or someone cancels and we’ll have an extra. We’ll post it on our instagram, so make sure you are following us there.

I forgot to call and preorder but really need a cake. What can I do?

We do have cupcakes! Come by and pick out the flavors you love. We open every morning fully stocked with about 20 flavors of cupcakes. We suggest you come early for the best selection. As the day wears on, we tend to sell out of some flavors and the selection can be thin after mid afternoon. Feel free to give us a call and see if we have anything in the shop - sometimes we accidentally bake an extra cake, or someone cancels and we’ll have an extra. We’ll post it on our instagram, so make sure you are following us there.

Do you ship?

We ship cookies, brownies, chewies, and pound cakes. We do not ship cakes or cupcakes. Because the mail and shipping services can be unreliable these days, we only ship on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, either overnight or 2 day. The shipping cost is a straight pass through to you.

Do you offer a discount for ordering in bulk?

We cannot offer bulk discounts - our pricing is by the piece. Every cake, cupcake and cookie takes the same amount of time and ingredients to make, regardless of whether you order 1 or 100.

Do you offer smash cakes for first birthdays?

We offer 4”, 6”, and 9” cakes. If you would like to use either of those sizes for a smash cake, we would love to see the pictures!

I saw a 4” cake on your IG/FB feed, can I order one?

Yes! We now offer 4” cakes! You can order it in ALMOST, but not ALL, of our cake flavors. Each cake page will say if it is available in a 4” size or not.

I saw a cake on your website/IG feed that had piping and special decorations. Why can’t I order one like that?
Any special decorations you see on our instagram are one of a kind, and not available for ordering. Those are simply our cake decorator flexing her creative muscles! Not all of us are capable of doing the kind of work she does :)

I have a nut allergy. Can you separately ice my cupcakes so my allergy isn’t triggered?

Our kitchen uses ground nuts and tree nuts. Although we wash and sanitize utensils between baking and icing different flavors, we cannot guarantee that there is no cross contamination. If you have severe allergies, we are sadly not the bakery for you. We want you to stay safe and healthy!

Do you have gluten free options?

Yes, we offer gluten free cupcakes, cakes, and cookies, but with this caveat: we cannot guarantee that there is no cross contamination. We are a small bakery and there is a lot of flour floating in the air as we bake our sweets each day. We make every effort to prevent cross contamination with regular flour but we do not have a clean room where we create and bake our gluten free offerings. If you have celiacs and cannot tolerate gluten, we are sadly not the bakery for you. We want you to stay safe and healthy!

Do you have any sugar free options?

Do you do weddings?

Yes! Look at our website to see the style of our cakes and cupcakes, check out our wedding page, then call the shop to discuss availability for the date of your wedding. Please note that we do NOT do custom cakes - you must choose a cake from our menu. A good rule of thumb is if you have to send us a photo, it’s not something we can do!

Do you do tiered wedding cakes?

Nope - take a look at the menu on our website to see the style of our cakes, and check out our wedding page. If you still want a tiered cake we can recommend local bakers who do a fantastic job.

Do you do naked cakes?

Do you deliver and set up desserts for weddings or large events?

Nope

Have your prices increased?

Yes, we raised prices on 11/30/22. Our costs for ingredients has increased substantially this year, and our labor costs and rent are increasing for 2023. The prices of our sweets had to increase to keep up with these changes.

Do you deliver?

You can order cupcakes, cookies, and cake slices for delivery on UberEats or DoorDash. There is no option for delivery of a cake on UberEats. Uber does offer a new package delivery service (you can find it on the app) - this might be a good option!

Do you do themed cakes?

Nope - take a look at the menu on our website to see the style of our cakes. If you want a themed cake we can recommend local bakers who do a fantastic job.

Do you offer vegan cakes or cupcakes?

Nope - we recommend Mabel Mae’s Bakery for vegan cakes and treats. We do sometimes make vegan oat bars (think soft, fruity, jammy bar with a delicious crumb on top) on Wednesdays, but that’s it right now.

I really love a flavor that is seasonal, can you make an exception so I can order a cake in that flavor?

Nope - for efficiency and cost effectiveness we offer seasonal flavors only when they are in season. Our menu is too big and the bakery too small to keep all ingredients for every menu item on hand year round.

I want to order a cake during the holidays that isn’t on your holiday menu but is available the rest of the year. Can I?

Fortunately, the holiday season is very busy for us. During those times we offer only the options on our holiday menu - no exceptions.

Why can’t I preorder a dozen assorted cupcakes on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday?

Those are our busiest days for preorders so we have things set up to maximize efficiency on our side. Right now you must order 6 cupcakes per flavor. Assorted dozens slow down our process. You can stop by and choose an assorted dozen from the case on those days.

When do you offer chai tea?

In the colder months - typically September - January

When do you offer sun tea?

In the warmer months - typically February - September

Do you offer flavored syrups for your coffee?

We just started! So far we’ve done lavender honey and elderberry. Let us know if you have a flavor suggestion!

Do you offer blended drinks or lattes?

Nope

I want to customize my cupcakes. Will you do that?

No, we stick to the style that you see in the store and on the website. If you pre-order cupcakes, you can choose a pastel color for the buttercream and the sprinkle color. We can also write on the cupcakes if you pre-order them (keep in mind we can only write what will fit on the cupcakes - they are not large). Writing is an additional $.50/cupcake. That’s the extent of the customization that is available.

Can you write on my cake?

Yes - cake inscriptions are $4 per cake.
